The terms ‘Matthew Swift’ or ‘we’ or ‘us’ refer to Matthew Swift Art, a sole trader, whose correspondence address for issues related to this website is 6 Higher Street Hatherleigh Devon EX20 3JD. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or visitor.

2. Shop Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to any purchase made through the shop at matthewswift.co.uk. Purchases are processed securely through PayPal; by placing an order you also agree to PayPal’s terms and conditions.

Orders & payment

  • All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
  • Payment is taken at the time of order via PayPal. We accept major debit and credit cards through PayPal’s checkout.
  • An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.

Artwork types

As all artworks are made by hand, each piece is unique. Prints and reproductions may vary slightly in colour, tone or finish from the images shown on this website. These natural variations are a characteristic of handmade work and are not considered defects.

  • Some artworks are available as ready-printed pieces and will be dispatched within 5 working days of payment being confirmed.
  • Limited edition prints are produced in a fixed numbered run. Once a limited edition is sold out it will not be reprinted.

Postage & delivery

  • Postage and packaging costs are included in the listed price. There are no additional postage charges at checkout.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or customs once an item has been dispatched.
  • International orders may be subject to local import duties or taxes. These are the responsibility of the buyer.

Damages in transit

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with photographs of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.

3. Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read this policy carefully as different terms apply depending on the type of artwork purchased.

Ready-printed and limited edition artworks

For items that are already printed and ready to dispatch, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and to return them within a further 14 days for a full refund.

  • Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or damaged.
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Faulty or damaged items

  • If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at matthewswift3@icloud.com with your order details and photographs.
  • We will offer a replacement or full refund as appropriate.
  • Return postage costs for faulty or damaged items will be reimbursed.

4. Privacy Policy

We do not sell, share or rent your personal data to third parties. We do not send marketing emails.
